Motorist, passenger sue over rear-end collision

Car accident 26

BELLEVILLE — A motorist and a passenger claim they suffered injuries in a rear-end collision.

Rochelle Crowe and Sierra Okraj filed a complaint on Nov. 27 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Benjamine Stuckey, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Nov. 14, 2015, Crowe and Okraj were in motor vehicle that was struck by Stuckey from the rear.

As a result, they claim they suffered multiple injuries all over their bodies, resulting in medical expenses, loss of normal life and other damages.

The plaintiffs allege the defendant failed to keep careful lookout for the vehicle stopped in front of him and failed to stop or take evasive actions to avoid colliding with plaintiffs' vehicle.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment in their favor in an amount greater than $50,000 for each of them.

They are represented by Gary L. Bement of Bement-Stubblefield LLC in Fairview Heights.
