BELLEVILLE – A Belleville man is seeking damages from a Caseyville man following a Scott Troy Road collision.
Christopher Ives filed a complaint on Dec. 1 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Evan C. Martin, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 14, 2016, he was driving a motor vehicle north on Scott Troy Road when he was cut off and struck by another vehicle driven by the defendant.
As a result of the impact, the plaintiff alleges he sustained injuries to his neck, head, back, hands and shoulder.
The plaintiff alleges Martin failed to maintain a proper lookout for incoming traffic.
Ives seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus costs of this suit and any further relief that the court may deem just and proper.
