Motorist alleges driver failed to stop, caused vehicle to overturn

BELLEVILLE – A New Baden resident claims he was injured when a Shiloh man failed to stop and collided with his vehicle, causing him to overturn.

Christopher A. Wininger filed a complaint on Aug. 10 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Robert Maguire, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 14, 2016, his vehicle was struck by Maguire's vehicle, causing him to overturn. 

As a result, Wininger claims he sustained severe and permanent injuries to his neck, shoulder, right foot, left wrist and other parts of his body. 

The plaintiff alleges Maguire failed to yield the right of way and failed to obey a stop sign.

The plaintiff seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus costs of this suit.
