EDWARDSVILLE — A motorist is suing a Moro woman, alleging her negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.
Gerald B. Conner filed a lawsuit Aug. 4 in Madison County Circuit Court against Dorothy M. Heiney, alleging negligence in failure to follow traffic rules and regulations.
According to the complaint, on June 11, Conner was driving his vehicle east along West Moro Drive at its intersection with North Moreland Road in Moro. The suit says, a vehicle driven by Heiney was heading in a southerly direction at the same intersection when the vehicles violently collided, causing the plaintiff to sustain injuries.
The lawsuit states Conner suffered injuries to the bones, nerves, ligaments and muscles in his neck, shoulders, back and body. The plaintiff alleges Heiney failed to keep proper lookout, made an improper left turn in front of Conner's oncoming vehicle and failed to reduce speed.
Conner seeks a trial by jury, judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs of suit. He is represented by attorney Joseph E. Hoefert of Alton.
