An Illinois motorist is suing another driver, alleging his negligence caused injuries the plaintiff sustained in a chain reaction automobile accident.
Morgan Weber filed a lawuit on Nov. 9 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Frederick Meadows of Collinsville.
According to the complaint, on Nov. 12, 2013, Weber was driving northbound and was stopped at North Greenmount Road in Shiloh. At the same time, Meadows was also driving northbound one car behind the plaintiff's vehicle. The suit says Meadows' vehicle struck the rear-end of a vehicle between his and the plaintiff's and that vehicle struck the plaintiff's in a chain reaction.
The lawsuit alleges the plaintiff injured her head, neck, back and right shoulder, and continues to experience pain. Further, she has experienced loss of a normal life, emotional distress, loss of income in the future and additional expenses for medical care, the suit says.
Weber seeks damages of more than $50,000, court costs and attorney fees. She is represented by attorney Shaun M. Lieser of Lieser Law Firm in St. Louis.
