An Illinois corporation is suing over unpaid rent on a commercial property.
RLP Development Company, of Madison County, filed the suit on Oct. 27 in Madison County Circuit Court against Extreme Vapor, Brock Boyer and Arlyne Floyd.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff and defendants entered into a lease agreement on May 27, 2014, in which the defendants agreed to pay rent on a property at 1023 Century Drive in Edwardsville. The term of the lease was from July 18, 2014, to July 31, 2019.
The suit claims the defendants abandoned the property. The plaintiff claims he has since terminated the lease. But, the defendants still owe the plaintiff $94,255 in rent and late fees, the suit states.
The plaintiff seeks that amount as well as court costs, $5,382 in costs to attempt to collect amounts due and attorney fees.
