An Illinois man is suing over permanent injuries he allegedly suffered while working for Norfolk Southern Railway.
Ronald W. Wilson filed the suit on Oct. 30 in Madison County Circuit Court against Norfolk Southern Railway Company.
According to the complaint, Wilson worked at the freight train company from 1989 to 2012. He claims he was injured throughout his service when he was subjected to repetitive unspecified traumas to his body.
Wilson alleges the defendant failed to provide suitable tools and equipment to perform tasks, failed to provide proper protective equipment and failed to provide necessary and proper supervision.
As a result, plaintiff sustained injuries to his hip, spine and overall body, causing pain and mental anguish, loss of earnings and excessive medical expenses.
The plaintiff seeks damages in excess of $50,000, court costs and attorney fees.
