A couple is suing home renovators for allegedly failing to disclose termite damage to their property.
Susan and Robert Sidener filed the lawsuit on Oct. 26 in the Circuit Court of Madison County against Home Renovators, LLC., Thomas Gajewski and Mel Dutton, alleging fraudulent misrepresentation.
According to the complaint, in 2006, Susan Sidener claims she purchased her home from the defendants. Susan and her husband allege they later discovered damage and a prior infestation of termites.
The plaintiffs allege the defendants knew of the prior infestation and failed to disclose, or attempted to hide the extent of the damage prior to the sale of the property.
The plaintiffs seek in excess of $50,000 in damages, plus costs of litigation.
