A Belleville woman is suing another driver for allegedly causing a three-car collision.
Jenelle Surmeier filed a lawsuit on Oct. 20 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Jennifer Armstrong, alleging negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
According to the complaint, on Nov. 14, 2013, the plaintiff was stopped for traffic while driving west bound on West Main Street near 8th Street in Mascoutah. While stopped, she claims Armstrong collided into another car that collided into the rear of Surmeier's vehicle.
The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus costs of litigation.
