Woman claims driver ran stop sign, causing Granite City collision

A motorist is suing another driver following a Granite City collision.

Taylor Foster filed a lawsuit on Oct. 16 against Cheyann Arnold and the Country Preferred Insurance Company in the Madison County Circuit Court, alleging negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

The complaint alleges that on Nov. 4, 2013, the vehicles operated by plaintiff and defendant collided at the intersection of Carlson and Jill Avenue in Granite City, allegedly due to defendant's failure to stop at a posted stop sign.

Taylor Foster claims she injured her foot, neck and spine in the accident. In addition, she seeks to have the Country Preferred Insurance Company pay her benefits under her under insured motorist policy.

The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus costs of litigation.
