East Alton company sued for allegedly exposing employee to toxins

An employee of Global Brass and Copper Holdings is suing his employer for allegedly exposing him to toxic substances.

Steven Allen Turner filed a lawsuit on Oct. 16 against Global Brass and Copper Holdings, Inc., of East Alton, in the Madison County Circuit Court, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Turner claims he was unknowingly exposed to toxic substances while working at the defendant's facilities.

Turner also filed discovery petitions against Bryan Metals, Inc., GBS Metals, Inc., and several other companies.

The plaintiff is demanding in excess of $50,000, plus costs of litigation.

Turner is represented by Thomas G. Maag of Wood River.
