Shopper sues for injuries sustained due to alleged fall in parking lot pot hole

A shopper claims she was seriously injured when she tripped and fell in a pot hole in the store's parking lot.

Donna Dinteman filed a lawsuit on Oct. 31 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Home Decor liquidators, LLC., James Combs, Ryan Sy, and others for the negligent maintenance of the Home Decor Liquidators parking lot.

According to the complaint, on Oct. 27, 2013, Dinteman claims she fell into a pot hole, crack or fissure located in the store parking lot, resulting in serious injuries.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to properly maintain the parking lot, the suit states.

The plaintiff is seeking in excess of $50,000 in damages.
