Mother sues motorist for allegedly injuring daughter in St. Jacob accident

A mother is suing a motorist she alleges failed to obey a stop sign, drove recklessly and crashed into her car, injuring her minor daughter.

Julianna Dant, mother of Kalianne Gibbs, filed a lawsuit on Sept. 28 in Madison County Circuit Court against Lucas Infanti of St. Jacob, alleging negligence in an auto accident.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 22, Infanti failed to obey a stop sign and otherwise drove recklessly at the intersection of Highway 4 and Lilac Road in St. Jacob, causing his car to collide with the plaintiff's vehicle and injuring her daughter.

Dant seeks more than $50,000 in damages, plus costs of litigation.

She is represented by attorneys Brian Wendler and Ellen Burford of Wendler Law in Edwardsville.
