A former Madison County attorney who helped churn out class action lawsuits in the mid-2000s has filed a lawsuit against a woman, saying she threatened him after he was misled in their alleged relationship.
Attorney Jeffrey A. J. Millar of the Millar Law Firm in Troy, Mo., filed a two-count complaint against the woman alleging assault and battery.
Circuit Judge Barbara Crowder has given the defendant until Aug. 30 to respond.
Millar claims the defendant has been threatening him, his ex-wife and his 11-year old son. He is representing himself in the matter. The lawsuit was filed June 30 in Madison County Circuit Court.
“This has tormented me into believing a battery is imminent,” he stated as a result of the alleged threat. “I have even begun sleeping with a 5 iron golf club next to my bed.”
He seeks an unspecified judgment that will “fairly and adequately compensate plaintiff for his financial injuries,” losses and damages, costs of suit and any other relief the court deems just.
