Coulterville man accused of running stop sign, causing accident

A Coulterville man is accused of running a stop sign in East St. Louis and crashing into the side of another car.

Pamela Perkins filed a lawsuit against James Talbert Aug. 27 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.

Perkins says she was driving on Missouri Avenue in October 2012 and crossing the intersection at North 8th Street when she was hit by a car driven by Talbert. Perkins claims Talbert ran a stop sign on North 8th, causing him to crash into her.

Perkins accuses Talbert of negligence and asks for more than $50,000 in damages for medical expenses, lost wages and court fees. She is represented by attorney Kevin A Sullivan of St. Louis.
