Mandi K. Ferguson of HeplerBroom in Edwardsville received the 2013 Rising Star Award from the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel (IDC), during the association's 49th annual meeting held June 21 in Chicago.
Ferguson was recognized for her work while serving as chair of the IDC Young Lawyers Committee.
“Mandi is a fantastic volunteer," said IDC executive director Sandra J. Wulf in a press release. "Her enthusiasm and commitment to the IDC and its core values is evident in all that she does for us. She has improved the association and in turn the defense bar. No one is more deserving of being recognized with this honor than Mandi Ferguson."
Ferguson is an associate in Hepler Broom, LLC’s Edwardsville office. She focuses her practice on trial involving complex litigation matters, specifically toxic torts and product liability. She is admitted to practice in both Illinois and Missouri. She is a member of the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel, the Defense Research Institute, the Madison County Bar Association and St. Clair County Bar Association.
The IDC was organized in 1964 and has more than 1,000 members. The mission of the IDC is to ensure civil justice with integrity, civility and professional competence.
