A man claims he suffered numerous injuries after a driver rear-ended his vehicle.
Michael E. Riley filed a lawsuit May 15 in Madison County Circuit Court against Camilla Davis.
Riley claims he drove a 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis north on Illinois State Route 159 in Collinsville on April 23 when Davis, who drove a 1998 Toyota Corolla in the same direction, struck the back of his vehicle.
Because of the collision, Riley suffered diverse injuries, experienced pain and suffering, endured disability and lost wages, according to the complaint.
Riley blames Davis for causing the collision, saying he negligently failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to reduce her speed to avoid a collision, failed to yield the right-of-way, followed Riley’s vehicle too closely and drove too fast.
In his complaint, Riley is seeking a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs.
