A Highland woman is suing a Troy Super Valu store and a worker she claims used his cell phone to video tape her in the women's restroom.

Plaintiff Ann Gray says the incident occurred at the store located at 523 Troy Plaza on July 16, 2011, according to the complaint filed May 2 in Madison County Circuit Court.

Gray claims the defendant, Schuette Stores, Inc., failed to discover that its employee Jonathan D. Spotanski was taking pictures of her through a hole in the ceiling of the restroom.

Spotanski also is named as a defendant.

Gray claims she suffered and continues to suffer extreme mental injuries and anguish.

Her suit seeks in excess of $50,000 in damages.

Gray is represented by Adam E. Berry of Beatty & Motil of Glen Carbon.

Madison County case number: 13-L-683.
