Woman claims driver turned in front of her at Cahokia intersection

A St. Clair County woman says she and her son were hurt in a crash caused by another driver who allegedly turned in front of her at a Cahokia intersection.

Sherry Dailey, individually and on behalf of her minor son, filed a lawsuit April 16 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Linda Kraeger and Richard Swan.

The alleged crash happened as Dailey was driving with her son east on Camp Jackson Road in February. Kraeger was driving in the opposite direction on the same road, according to the complaint.

As she drove into the intersection of Camp Jackson and Range Lane, Dailey claims Kraeger made a left turn in an attempt to turn onto Range. Kraeger, driving a car owned by Swan, allegedly crashed into Dailey, causing injuries to her and her son.

The Daileys say the crash caused significant injuries to their necks and backs. They accuse Kraeger and Swan of negligence and asks for more than $200,000 in damages for medical expenses, loss of income and court fees.

Attorney Thomas C. Rich of Fairview Heights is representing the Daileys.
