The People's Law School is back in session, offering free legal workshops to the public.
The first of the workshops, staffed by members of the Madison County Bar Association is Tuesday night, May 11.
All workshops will be held Tuesdays from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Jay Hoffman Center Room 100 at the N.O. Nelson Center at Lewis & Clark Community College.
The college is located at 600 Troy Road in Edwardsville.
May 11's topics are Custody, Visitation and Mediation taught by Angela Donohoo and Estate Planning taught by Bonnie Levo.
May 25's workshops are "A Practical Guide to Divorce in Madison County," and "So You're Divorced, Now What?" The practical guide workshop will be taught by Rick Steiger. "So You're Divorced . . ." will be taught by Dave Fahrenkamp.
June 1 will be a medical malpractice forum with co-moderators John Hopkins and Dede Zupanci.
The People's Law School is sponsored by the MCBA, the Illinois State Bar Association and Lewis & Clark Community College.
