Crowder
Madison County Circuit Judge Barbara Crowder will officially take over Madison County's asbestos docket in just over two months.
According to a press release sent out late Wednesday afternoon, Crowder will begin presiding over one of the busiest asbestos dockets in the country on July 30.
Madison County Circuit Judge Daniel Stack, who has handled asbestos since 2004, announced his retirement last year.
He is set to retire later this year.
According to the press release by Madison County Chief Judge Ann Callis' office, Stack will continue to oversee his civil docket.
Crowder was selected by Callis to take over the docket in February.
She tried her first asbestos case in March.
Stack took over the docket from then-Madison County Circuit Judge Nicholas Byron.
