$7.7 million foreign judgment filed in Madison County against rehab firm

A $7.7 million judgment against a Las Vegas-based physical and occupational therapy and speech pathology services provider has been filed in Madison County as a foreign judgment.

Petitioner Henry Drake of Decatur, Ga., a creditor of Enduracare Therapy Management, retained attorneys J. Joseph Kusmierczak and Ted Gianaris of SimmonsCooper as counsel. Other creditors include Pearlean Swint, Rosie Jones and Marvin McMiller of Jesup, Ga., and Mamie Bryant of Screven, Ga.

The judgment was entered in Wayne County, Georgia, on Jan. 24, 2008, but "has not been satisfied and is still due and owing," according to the petition filed Jan. 16 in Madison County.

EnduraCare is the largest privately held provider of rehabilitation services, according to its Web site. It services more than 300 hospitals, long-term care facilities and physician practices. The Web site also states that it employ 2,500 health care professionals across the country.

With interest, the judgment stands at $8,554,699.02 as of Jan. 16, the petition states.
