Allan W. Cook has filed suit against Kelly W. Kinder, Jeanne M. Maggio and Laidlaw Transit, Inc., claiming he was injured in a collision.
Cook claims he was a passenger in Kinder's car and was injured after his vehicle collided with another driven by Maggio and owned by Laidlaw on April 14.
He claims Kinder was driving south on South Moreland Road near its intersection with Rock Hill Road and that Maggio was driving west on Rock Hill Road near the same intersection.
Kinder was negligent because he failed to reduce the speed of his vehicle to avoid a collision with the vehicle Maggio was driving, according to the complaint filed Sept. 8 in Madison County Circuit Court.
Maggio failed to stop at a stop sign in the intersection, the suit states.
As a result of the collision, Cook claims he has incurred medical costs, great pain and anguish and a loss of income.
