Failure to keep its floor clear of lemon pepper marinade is the subject of a $50,000 lawsuit against the Save A Lot Store, located at 2600 State St. in East St. Louis.
Plaintiff Addie M. Lockett claims she fell and sustained signficant injuries at the store on July 3, 2007, according to a suit filed Jan. 4 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
Lockett, represented by James P. Stiehl of Swansea, claims the store failed to maintain its floor in a reasonable condition, failed to keep its floor clear of dangerous materials when it knew or should have known of the existence of such foreign substance and failure to warn customers of the condition.
