FELA suit claims excessive whole body vibration injuries

Union Pacific Railroad machine operator Darrell Harris filed a Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA) suit in St. Clair County claiming he has experienced long-term cumulative trauma and excessive whole body vibration injuries due to his employer's negligence.

Represented by Michael G. Burnworth of Blunt and Associates in Edwardsville, Harris is seeking in excess of $50,000 in damages.

Harris claims he has sustained severe and permanent injuries to his neck, shoulders, bilateral upper extremities, low back and hips.

He also claims Union Pacific violated the FELA by, among other things, failing to provide a reasonably safe place for him to work.
