Mealtime not so happy for injured McDonald's customer

A trip to a fast food eatery last year ended in physical pain and mental anguish for a Caseyville McDonald’s customer.

Seeking in excess of $50,000 for tripping in a parking lot pothole, John Quinn filed suit against Garjo Inc., the restaurant’s owner, in St. Clair County Circuit Court on Sept. 16.

Quinn, represented by Ronald J. Foster of Glen Carbon, claims the restaurant was negligent for allowing the pothole and failing to repair or warn customers of its existence.

He claims his right leg, ankle and foot, left knee and lower back were hurt from the incident which occurred on Aug. 15, 2004.
