The owner of a Belleville auto parts store will have to make a pit stop in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
James L. Alexander, a Belleville resident, claims he slipped and fell on a “foreign substance” in the parking lot of Autozone on Sept. 19, 2003, located at 521 Carlyle Ave.
Seeking in excess of $50,000 in damages for severe and permanent injuries to his left leg and knee, Alexander filed suit Sept. 19. He is represented by Michael K. Nowak of O’Fallon.
The suit claims Autozone was negligent for allowing a foreign substance to accumulate on its parking lot.
