Sandra Dillinger claims her physician Steven Edwards, M.D. and Saint Anthony's Good Samaritan Center in Alton were negligent for not treating an injury she sustained between February and September 2003.
A medical malpractice lawsuit filed by Dillinger Aug. 23 in Madison County Circuit Court does not name the "impairment from which she was then and there suffering." But, the suit claims her condition required medical and/or surgical treatment.
Represented by John J. Hopkins & Associates in Edwardsville, Dillinger seeks at least $100,000 in damages, plus costs of the suit.
She claims she did not become aware of defendants' negligent conduct until "separating from the care and treatment of defendant(s) in September of 2003," the suit states.
"Plaintiff has been forced to have subsequent treatment and procedures in an attempt to reapir the damage caused by defendant," the suit states.
