Mathus alleges a drug that was prescribed by Dr. Wesp of Alton Multispecialists, Ltd. is to blame for her husband’s untimely death. On Nov. 2, 2003, Mathus claims her husband died as a direct result of Wesp's treatment. Mathus claims Wesp failed to inform the deceased of the dangers of the prescribed medication. Mathus is seeking a judgement of at least $300,000 for wrongful death, medical, funeral, and burial expenses.
