An East St. Louis woman filed a medical malpractice suit against Harvey Mirly, M.D. and Belleville Memorial Hospital for performing a carpal tunnel procedure instead of surgery to release a trigger thumb on her left hand.
BJC seeks dismissal from wrongful death suit
Attorneys for Barnes-Jewish Hospital filed a motion to dismiss or transfer a case filed by the parents of a man who allegedly died due to complications from gastric bypass surgery.
Man sues car wash after employees' attack him
Wash-N-Go Car Wash Jeffrey Laird filed suit against Wash-N-Go car wash on Humbert Road in Godfrey seeking at least $50,000 in damages for injuries he sustained when he was removed from the premises.
St. Clair Square sued for parking lot injury
St. Clair Square A woman who stumbled in the parking lot of St. Clair Square filed suit against the Fairview Heights shopping mall in Madison County Circuit Court Nov. 9, seeking damages in excess of $50,000.

Moose Lodge #1221 A Belleville woman attending a baby shower at the Swansea Moose Lodge is alleging permanent injuries from slipping on the lodge's kitchen floor in a suit filed in St. Clair County Circuit Court Nov. 7.

Correction
In a Nov. 7 article entitled, "Weld rod trial under way," the Record misspelled one of the law firms representing the plaintiff. "Vaughan Cascino Law Offices" was incorrectly identified as the "Cascino Vaughn Law Offices." The Record regrets the error.
