117 Prairie Manor Drive in Edwardsville Edmund and Allison Hershberger filed suit against the builders of their Edwardsville home alleging the defendants, Ricky Pinkston and Tanya Cook-Pinkston, entered into a contract with the intent to deceive them.
Adoptive parents sue legal team, agency for $35M
Claiming they lost the society of their daughter during the four first critical weeks of her life, the adoptive parents of Janissa Rockstad are suing their former legal team and an adoption agency for $35 million claiming they botched the adoption and wrongfully accused them of abusing their infant.

A Granite City trucking and warehousing firm, Buske Lines, is accused of providing lavish gifts to a corporate executive in exchange for “rigged” trucking contracts, according to a civil lawsuit filed in Racine County Circuit Court, Wisc. last year.

Two railroad workers filed separate Federal Employees Liability Act (FELA) lawsuits April 7 in Madison County Circuit Court seeking damages for injuries they sustained while working on the railroad.

Cathy Paisley filed a personal injury suit against Brad Maher in Madison County Circuit Court April 7 seeking to collect at least $50,000 in damages from injuries she sustained in a boating accident.
Washington Park hotel owners sued for fire
Owners of the Washington Park Econo Inn, where a fire claimed two lives on March 27, were sued by the estates of Carlos Glispie and Katrice Carraway, who was three months pregnant.

CIM Insurance of Southfield, Mich. will be in court April 15 to argue its motion to dismiss a class action complaint in front of Madison County Circuit Judge Nicholas Byron. Represented by Stephen Mudge of Reed, Armstrong, Gorman, Mudge and Morrissey of Edwardsville, CIM is accused of violating the Illinois Consumer Fraud Act.
