Cathy Paisley filed a personal injury suit against Brad Maher in Madison County Circuit Court April 7 seeking to collect at least $50,000 in damages from injuries she sustained in a boating accident.
The complaint does not state where the parties are from or where the September 2004 accident occurred.
Paisley claims that she was a passenger in Maher’s “cigarette” style speed boat which was being driven to fast in a no wake zone while the waters were in a dangerous condition causing her to fall and receive serious and permanent injuries.
According to the complaint, Maher was intoxicated while operating the boat.
Paisley is seeking a judgment in her favor for injuries, mental anguish and lost wages. She is represented by Alton attorney Michael Glisson of Williamson, Webster, Falb, & Glisson. The case has been assigned to Circuit Judge Philip Kardis in Granite City.
