Baby doc sues another for $4.6 million

A well-known area obstetrician is seeking $4.6 million in damages by suing another physician and his assistant for defaming her reputation. Tina Gingrich, M.D. filed suit against James J. Dalla Riva, M.D. and Stephanie Sudholt Oct. 20 in Madison County Circuit Court.

Cash flow keeps streaming along

Plaintiff's attorney John Barry Julian, an asbestos specialist with Wise & Julian of Alton, contributed $50,000. Shattering a campaign cash contribution record for any Supreme Court seat in the country, the high court race between Washington County Circuit Court Judge Lloyd Karmeier and Appellate Court Judge Gordon E. Maag shows no signs of petering out a week before the election.
