Connor, Haine issue joint statement on weapons ban: ‘It is in obvious tension with Supreme Court precedent on the Second Amendment’

Madison County Sheriff Jeff Connor and State’s Attorney Tom Haine issued a joint statement in opposition to the new weapons ban, saying it is “in obvious tension with Supreme Court precedent on the Second Amendment” and vowing to focus on reducing violent crime instead of enforcing the weapons registration.
