MOUNT VERNON – St. Clair County Circuit Judge Robert Haida improperly sentenced Leondre McClendon to 80 years in prison for rape and other crimes he committed at age 16, Fifth District appellate judges ruled on July 20.
“These Veterans have sacrificed their lives to keep us free. They have endured countless hours away from their families. They have suffered, some wounded, not only physically, but also mentally. They have observed many brutal and bloody incidents. They have seen friends injured and wounded or killed...many have been scarred as a result of their protecting our freedom. They deserve a second chance, and Veteran’s Court provides them that opportunity."
Mudge A Madison County jury on Tuesday found in favor of the plaintiff at the end of a two-day damages trial in Madison County Circuit Judge William Mudge's courtroom.
Mudge A trial started Monday in Madison County Circuit Judge William Mudge's courtroom, involving an Edwardsville woman's case against a St. Louis man following an accident the two were involved in Nov. 9, 2010.
