If Republicans refuse to face that we are no longer playing chess in the parlor but on the ground fighting against both financial and social tyranny, then there is no reason to donate any money to any Republican politician or the party until they can demonstrate what they have done to deserve your hard-earned money.

On April 26, Rep. Jay Hoffman, D - Belleville, sponsored HB 0476 that will allow MESD to pay for life, health, accident, hospital and medical insurance for employees and commissioners, but of course employees already receive health insurance.

In light of recent tragic crimes in the City of St. Louis, I am asking Madison County board members to consider a resolution calling for Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner to resign.

On Tuesday, the Madison County Health Advisory Committee met and discussed the current Covid situation. We can’t predict the future, but one idea is that the shot may be available annually, similar to the flu vaccine. Members of the health advisory committee again stressed the principle of informed consent, and encouraged people to do their research, consult with medical professionals and decide for themselves.

I would invite you and other state officials to consider the comments made by the public and the medical professionals who serve on this board.

She will be a watchdog for us looking out for new taxes and fees that continue to pile up and hold us down. Importantly, she will fight against amending our constitution to allow for a progressive income tax that would allow politicians to move tax brackets up and down any time they need to fill their coffers.

What Debbie Ming Mendoza won’t do is place the blame where it really belongs, Jay Hoffman, Katie Stuart and Christopher Belt. They caused this entire judicial re-districting nightmare.

It’s why their legislative focus is on things like placing feminine hygiene products in boys bathrooms instead of growing the economy and ensuring the safety and security of our families in the Metro East.

Illinois’ controversial SAFE-T Act is making headlines throughout the nation for the risk it poses to communities in Illinois.

While the candidates would be thrilled to meet with the members of the league and share their ideas about the roles of circuit judges in Madison County, why they think politics should be left out of the courtroom and why broad legal experience matters, the campaigns must focus on meeting and engaging with residents of the 1st subcircuit.

During the past two years many have followed Fauci’s advice, but it’s high time that people pause to consider both parts of a) informed and b) consent.

This is my eleventh update to the citizens of the 111th district, as your State Representative. The summer has been busy with events, meetings and advocacy for constituents. Each day my office staff and I work on a wide variety of constituent services, policy issues, and pressing topics that affect peoples’ lives and livelihoods. Therefore, the job is always engaging and interesting and there is never a dull moment. I’m often popping in and out of the office as I frequently go to meetings off-site. I love being able to meet with groups, businesses, and non-profits in their offices so that I’m out and about in the community as much as possible.

The charges are unsupported by facts, data or evidence rendering the charges and special meeting akin to a high tech lynching by a small group of Republicans against a two-time elected Chairman, who is also a Republican.

To the Editor:I want to take this opportunity to thank those who have worked tirelessly over the past few weeks to prepare for the primary election on June 28.

Jeff and his family are lifelong residents of Madison County, and he knows firsthand the concerns of his many neighbors and friends. If selected by the voters, Jeff will no doubt continue to serve with the highest honor, integrity, and compassion, following in the highest traditions of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.

Justice Vaughan is the right candidate to serve Illinoisans on the Appellate Court and he has my endorsement.
