In the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois, plaintiff Nathan Wayne Norman is suing defendants Dr. Don Arnold II and Dr. Ann Elizabeth Hardy-Henry. The case, filed under court case ID 3:24-cv-01010 on April 1, 2024, revolves around alleged medical malpractice resulting in severe injury to the plaintiff. The lawsuit claims that the amount in controversy exceeds $75,000.

Represented by his attorneys at Chatham & Baricevic, LLC, Norman alleges that both defendants were negligent during a left inguinal hernia repair surgery he underwent on April 12, 2022. The negligence allegedly resulted in a large retroperitoneal hematoma with active bleeding, left testicular torsion and left spermatic cord ischemia.

The following day, Norman was diagnosed with these complications and had to return to the operating room for scrotal exploration and left orchiectomy on April 14, 2022. The plaintiff claims that these issues arose due to the defendants' failure to effectively attain adequate homeostasis during the initial surgery.

Norman is seeking judgment against both Dr. Arnold II and Dr. Hardy-Henry individually for amounts greater than $75,000 each plus costs for their alleged negligence leading to his severe injuries.
