EDWARDSVILLE - A lawsuit alleging an individual was injured after she slipped and at a Pilot Travel Centers has been transferred to Madison County. 

The lawsuit was originally filed in St. Clair County Circuit Court by plaintiff Marcella Brownlee against Pilot Travel Centers LLC. The suit was later transferred to the Madison County Circuit Court.

The complaint alleges Brownlee slipped on a foreign substance present on the floor of the premises, leading to severe injuries. 

Brownlee alleges Pilot Travel Centers LLC, doing business as Pilot Flying J, was negligent in maintaining the premises and surrounding areas. As a result of the defendant's alleged negligence, Brownlee suffered severe and permanent injuries requiring substantial medical care and attention.

Brownlee is seeking damages exceeding $50,000 for medical expenses incurred and expected future expenses, lost earnings and earning capacity, pain and suffering endured, as well as for her permanent injury and disability. She is represented by Brady McAninch of Hipskind & McAninch
