Handicapped woman sues over trip, fall at bingo hall

EDWARDSVILLE - A handicapped woman claims she tripped and fell on the sidewalk after playing bingo in Granite City.

Plaintiff Calvenita Brock filed the lawsuit against Granite City Properties, LLC in the Madison County Circuit Court. 

According to the complaint, Brock alleges she was injured due to a deteriorating sidewalk ramp at a bingo center owned by the defendant. Brock claims she tripped and fell while walking around her parked vehicle.

The plaintiff alleges the defendant negligently maintained its premises and failed to ascertain the presence of a trip hazard on the property. 

Brock seeks compensation in excess of $50,000, plus any other relief the court deems just. She is represented by Brady McAninch of Hipskind & McAninch LLC.
