BELLEVILLE - A man claims he was injured at Cutter's in Belleville when an intoxicated patron struck him.

The lawsuit was filed in the St. Clair County Circuit Court by Richard Blow against John Brisk, Mary Brisk, Cutters Goose Inc., also known as Cutter's, and Keary Rauch.

According to the complaint, Blow alleges he was at Cutter's in Belleville on Feb. 26, 2023, when Rauch became intoxicated, struck the plaintiff, and knocked him down. Blow alleges John and Mary Brisk sold or gave alcohol to Rauch, which led to his intoxication and alleged violent behavior.

As a result, Blow claims he suffered injuries to his skull, eye socket, nose, neck, back, extremities and other parts of his body. He also claims to have experienced pain and suffering in the past and expects it to continue in the future. Additionally, he states that he has suffered disability and disfigurement due to the incident.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants were negligent and seeks damages for his injuries.

Blow is seeking a judgment in his favor for an amount exceeding $50,000 from each defendant, along with costs of suit and any other relief deemed appropriate by the court. He is represented by attorney Morgan Hermanson of Mattea Hermanson.
