BELLEVILLE - A wrongful death suit alleges a truck driver died in a crash after a catastrophic tread/belt separation.
The lawsuit was filed in the St. Clair County Circuit Court by Kerry Wickline, individually and as a personal representative of the estate of Rudy J. Wickline, against Shanghai Huayi Group Corporation Limited and Clinton J. Goodall Tire Co., Inc.
According to the complaint, decedent Rudy Wickline was driving a truck on June 1, 2023, when he crashed due to a catastrophic tread/belt separation of a tire manufactured by Shanghai Huahi Group Corporation LImited and serviced by Clineton J. Goodall Tire Co. The incident allegedly caused the truck to roll over.
The plaintiff seeks compensatory damages and costs for alleged negligence and related claims. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Lanny Darr of the Darr Law Offices.
