Suit alleges motorist hit pedestrian in Collinsville

EDWARDSVILLE - A pedestrian claims she was injured when a motorist hit her while she was walking in Collinsville. 

The lawsuit was filed in the Madison County Circuit Court by Linda Grohs against motorist Somlock Adams. 

According to the complaint, Grohs alleges she was struck by the defendant's vehicle while walking in Collinsville. 

Grohs claims Adams failed to keep a proper lookout for pedestrians, drove his vehicle recklessly, failed to apply brakes properly, and did not exercise due care to avoid colliding with Grohs.

Grohs states that as a result of Adams' alleged negligence, she suffered injuries, incurred medical expenses, suffered mental anguish, lost wages and earning capacity, and sustained other damages.

The plaintiff is seeking a judgment against Adams for an amount exceeding $50,000 plus costs associated with the lawsuit. She is represented by attorney Lloyd Cueto of the Law Office of Lloyd M. Cueto.
