EDWARDSVILLE - Homeowners claim their residence was left in a worse condition after a home improvement company allegedly failed to complete the work.

The lawsuit was filed in the Madison County Circuit Court by plaintiffs Kyle David and Adrienne David against Precision Contracting Unlimited, LLC, Donald W. Jenkins, and Harvey King.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege they paid $150,000 for significant renovations to their home, which ended up worsening its condition.

The defendants, who claimed to be experienced contractors, are accused of fraudulent activities including defrauding homeowners on home improvement projects and taking deposits and payments for work they did not intend to complete.

The plaintiffs also allege the defendants withdrew a total of $109,119.79 from an escrow account set up by the plaintiffs to fund the renovation work but failed to pay subcontractors, leading to additional costs for the plaintiffs.

The plaintiffs seek a judgment in excess of $50,000, plus all other relief the court deems just. They are represented by Matthew Champlin of HeplerBroom.
