Suit alleges construction company left home in disrepair

EDWARDSVILLE - Homeowners claim a home renovation company left their home in disrepair by failing to properly install flooring. 

The lawsuit was filed in the Madison County Circuit Court by plaintiffs Mark and Barbara Ursch against The Floor Store, Inc., and Ralph G. Paslay Custom Homes, Inc. 

According to the complaint, the Urschs claim their home was left in a state of disrepair after the defendants failed to fulfill their contractual obligations. The defendants were allegedly contracted to provide home building services for the plaintiffs' residence in Madison County. However, the defendants allegedly failed to ensure that the flooring was installed correctly and did not remedy issues with the flooring despite being notified multiple times. 

As a result of this alleged negligence, the plaintiffs are seeking damages in excess of $50,000.They are represented by attorney Angie Zinzilieta of Wendler & Zinzilieta PC.
