EDWARDSVILLE - Rascal's Farmers Market claims it was damaged when assets were misrepresented, including potential revenues.

Rascal's Farmers Market, Inc., an Illinois corporation, filed the lawsuit against Douglas G. Weiss and Judith L. Weiss in the Madison County Circuit Court.

According to the complaint, the defendants allegedly misrepresented assets during a business transaction with Rascal's Farmers Market. More specifically, the plaintiff claims the defendants made false representations about their compliance with all applicable laws and regulations while operating their business. They are also accused of inflating potential revenues and failing to provide adequate support and information about their former business.

The lawsuit follows an Asset Purchase Agreement entered into by both parties on July 12, 2023. Rascal's Farmers Market paid the defendants $100,000 for the assets described in the contract.

The plaintiff seeks damages for alleged fraudulent inducement and loss of benefits from the agreement. It is represented by Anthony R.Garavalia of Flynn Guymon & Garavalia.
