EDWARDSVILLE - Urology of St. Louis claims it has not received full payment for services after the service agreements were sold to new healthcare systems.
The lawsuit was filed in the Madison County Circuit Court by Urology of St. Louis, Inc against American Healthcare Systems Illinois, LLC and AHS IL Medical Group.
According to the complaint, Urology of St. Louis alleges the defendants have failed to remit complete payment for services rendered under their contract.
The case revolves around a contract signed in May 2021 between the plaintiff and Gateway Regional Medical Hospital Company, LLC and Heartland Rural Healthcare. The assets of Gateway and Heartland, including their obligations under the service agreements, were later sold to the defendants.
Despite fulfilling its obligations under the agreement, Urology of St. Louis claims that it has not received full payment from the defendants for its services. This refusal to pay constitutes a material breach of contract, the suit states.
The plaintiff is seeking recovery of all funds, costs, expenses, fees and interest available under the agreement and at law. It is represented by Brian Wacker of The Cook Group.
