EDWARDSVILLE - A woman is suing the owners of a dog she claims attacked her without provocation.

The lawsuit was filed in the Madison County Circuit Court by plaintiff Pamela Rubin against defendants Jeanna Ramirez and Marco Ramirez.

According to the complaint, complaint states that on August 23, 2022, Rubin claims she was on a public thoroughfare bordering the defendants' property on Aug. 23, 2022, when a dog owned by the defendants attacked her. The plaintiff alleges the defendants knew or should have known about the dog's dangerous propensities but failed to take necessary precautions.

Rubin claims she incurred significant medical expenses as a result of her injuries and may need to spend more in the future for treatment. She also alleges loss of wages from her employment and damage to her future earning capacity.

The plaintiff is seeking judgment for an amount exceeding $50,000, plus costs of suit. She is represented by attorney Steven Giacoletto of the Giacoletto Law Firm.
