EDWARDSVILLE — A woman claims she was injured when a wall collapsed on her at Madison 66.

Lauren Spiroff filed a complaint in Madison County Circuit Court against Singh Petroleum Inc., doing business as Madison 66, alleging negligence.

Spiroff alleges in her complaint that she was at the defendant's premises to shop and use the gambling machines. She claims that as she was sitting in the partitioned area, a wall collapsed and caused a metal support to strike her in the head and shoulder.

Spiroff alleges the defendant's were negligent for failing to secure the partition walls to the floor or ceiling, failing to inspect the stability of the area and failing to warn guests of the hazard. She also alleges the defendants failed to restrict the designated gaming area and use solid walls that extend from floor to ceiling.

Spiroff claims that as a result of the incident, she has suffered permanent disabilities, pain, and suffered loss of income.

Spiroff seeks monetary relief of more than $50,000, plus interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Lanny Darr of The Darr Law Offices LTD in Alton.
