The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois reported the following activities in the suit brought by Dunkley against Afscme on Feb. 3.

'Sborder Regarding The Report Of Mandatory Mediation (doc. 334) By Mediator Megan Arvola. In That Report, Ms. Arvola Indicates The Mandatory Mediation Was Completed, As Scheduled, On February 1, 2023. The Mandatory Mediation Did Not Result In A Settlement Of The Case. Accordingly, Under Sections 3.9(b)(4) And 6(b) Of The Mandatory Mediation Plan, The Court Terminates The Attorney-client Relationship Between Plaintiff And Ms. Julie R. Quinn, Relieving Ms. Quinn Of All Representation Duties As Special Mediation Counsel. In Addition, Under Section 6(b) Of The Mandatory Mediation Plan, The Court Orders Ms. Arvola Relieved Of All Responsibilities As Mediator In This Matter. The Clerk Of The Court Is Directed To Terminate Ms. Quinn And Ms. Arvola From The Docket. A New Trial Date For This Matter Will Be Entered By Separate Order. In Preparing For Trial, Each Party Is Reminded That Compliance With The Court's Case Management Procedures Is Mandatory. Signed By Judge David W. Dugan On 2/3/2023. 'Sborder Regarding Plaintiff's Second Verified Petition To Change Judge For Cause (doc. 323). For The Reasons Explained In The Attached Memorandum & Order, The Petition Is Denied. Signed By Judge David W. Dugan On 2/3/2023. (jnh) (entered: 02/03/2023)'

'Sborder Regarding Plaintiff's Request For The Court To Retain Jurisdiction (doc. 333) "to Enforce A Settlement...prior To Dismissal Of The Suit." That Request, Which Is Made In Reliance On Authorities From The State Of California, Was Filed Before The Completion Of The Mediation In This Case. Now, The Court Has Been Advised That No Settlement Was Reached As A Result Of The Mediation. Accordingly, At Present, Plaintiff's Request Is Denied. However, The Court Notes, Generally, It May Retain Jurisdiction Of The Case For Purposes Of Enforcing A Settlement, If That Situation Were To Arise. Signed By Judge David W. Dugan On 2/3/2023. (jnh)this Text Entry Is An Order Of The Court. No Further Documentation Will Be Mailed. (entered: 02/03/2023)'
