EDWARDSVILLE – A wrongful death suit was filed against a truck driver who ran a stop sign and caused a fatal crash that killed Sheila Macon and her granddaughter Ciera Macon.

Plaintiffs Diane Rush, acting as independent administrator of the estate of Sheila M. Macon, Mark Macon, and Towana Williams, acting as independent co-administrators of the estate of Ciara R. Macon, filed a wrongful death lawsuit in the Madison County Circuit Court against Advance Truck Line, LLC, Global Focus, LLC, Star Express Truck Lines, LLC and Daniel G. Belay, citing negligence and carelessness.

According to the lawsuit, Belay was a driver employed by Advance Truck Line, LLC, Global Focus, LLC, and Star Express Truck Lines.
